Aiden and Lisa's Birthday

Aiden and, mom, Lisa, have birthdays within a week of each other.  So, we set out to celebrate their day of birth together.

But, first, we needed some gifts.  I had a list from Lisa - but needed to take Aiden shopping for some specific clothing items he needed to pick out.  I picked him up and we went to Layton Hills Mall.  I love that he knows what he wants. . . so shopping was a breeze.  We ended up at Happy Hashi Sushi afterwards for dinner.  They weren't very busy and I think our server liked our boy, Aiden, a little too much.  :)

Have you ever had fruit sushi?  I hadn't either.  It was pretty creative, but quite sweet to eat too much of it.

Then, on to Sunday dinner at Grandpa's with a family celebration.  Here are our two birthday people ready for the present hunt.

Jena loves to help everyone open up the presents.

While we wait . . . here are Brian, with Jacob and Emma in front.

And, below, here are Maia, Kristen and Miss Maggie - who loves to collect the wrapping paper.  Look at her hold on to that!

Besties - Sara and Grace - with Sara trying on Aiden's new shoes.

And, then, Grace trying them on too.  We girls love our shoes!

Now, here is Jena helping Aiden with his presents.

This is a typical picture of the kids hanging off of Aiden - and him letting them.  He is so great at playing with all of the kiddos.  They all love each other - and we are so grateful for that.

It's cheesecake time - and the littles like to be right by their side.

Love that Dad has continued with the tradition of making a special descriptive balloon for every letter in the birthday person's name.  It's always fun to see what qualities we have from year to year.

So proud of Jacob who proudly displayed his recommend to go to the dedication of the Ogden Temple.
