Spa Day

We had given both Sara and Maggie certificates for pedicures for their recent birthdays.  We were going to be spending time with Maggie and Davis, so thought it was the perfect time to head north and get Sara and get the pedicures together.  We have discovered a nail place in the Layton Hills Mall that has two kids chairs.  You can see how much they love them.

Because there were only two chairs, Sara got to be in a big chair.

Davis didn't want to be left and wanted his toes done too.  I'm sure his parents are going to be excited about this.
But, see how happy he is!

Davis got festive alternating red and green nails.

Their nails looked great at the end and we had a fun time together.

Party of 4 for Thanksgiving

It was just the 4 of us for Thanksgiving this year.  I am personally not sold on the whole idea of Thanksgiving dinner and the tons of dishes that it produces and the time it takes to create a meal that is done in a few minutes.  I'm weird, I know.  I was especially grateful this Thanksgiving that we made RESERVATIONS! for the Cliff Lodge at Snowbird.  The buffet was fabulous - all of the Thanksgiving favorites - plus some other fun options like sushi!  The dessert bar was incredible and I especially loved the creme brulee'.   No shopping.  No dishes.  The perfect holiday for me (and, since I'm the one continuing to update this blog/journal, that's all that matters) :)

Waffles . . . Can there ever be too many posts about this? I think not!

We've said it before . . . and we'll say it again . . . we LOVE Saturday's Waffle.  We love to wager waffles on any little bet to make it interesting.  These delectable treats are about the only thing that will get me to drive an hour early on a Saturday morning.  They are so good!

And, could there be anything better than eating on the truck of our car!  Many people even bring chairs to sit on in the parking lot.

We love the Lumberjack with the sausage gravy.

I think this is our ultimate favorite - the Benny.  Bacon, a soft egg and hollandaise sauce on it.  What could be better!

This was a fall treat - the Pumpkin Praline.  So good!

Waiting for our waffles

Can you see my heft purse in these pics?

It doesn't matter what kind of weather there is . . . the trailer is there . . . and so is a line of people.

Kristen's Birthday Festivities

We had so much fun celebrating Kristen's big day with a dinner at Dad's/Grandpa's.  The birthday girl love to have fajitas and homemade chocolate chip cookies.  So yummy.  We love spending time with our family.

Maia "loves" getting her picture taken.

This picture is great in many ways.  One, we love our niece and nephews; and two, because Kristen commented on how big her chest looks in the pic.  Ha!  We'll have to see if she poses like that more often.

Oh, and even though these pictures look like they are fuzzy or have a filter on them - it turns out that I just forgot to take the plastic backing off of my new phone - and the camera . . . boo to that!)
