I had heard about the trademarked Cronut - a cross between a croissant and a doughnut - developed in New York where only so many are made each day and people wait in line quite a while for these treats as well as people who get one and try and sell them at a much higher price. We read about a couple of caterers who were working on duplicating this yummy treat and called them Doussantz. They were offering them for only three days for 1 1/2 hours each day - or until they are gone. So, of course, it made me want to try them even more. My co-worker was nice enough to get me some to try and this is the maple bacon version that was absolutely delicious!
