Kristen had been training for the Huntsville Half Marathon and we wanted to support her and see her come in at the end. So, we got a hotel room in Ogden and spent the night. We loved the Hilton Garden Inn where we stayed. It's a new hotel right by the temple that is being remodeled, shopping and eating.
We had a suite that had windows that went around the whole front of the hotel. Look, there I am waving!
The drapes opened by these fancy switches. And they also serve a nice breakfast buffet in the morning. What could be better.
Kristen picked up her race packet and then we were off for a yummy dinner at the Sonora Grill and then had some fun at the Fat Cats across the street.
We had fun playing Connect Four and other great games for tickets and prizes. Aren't Kristen's glasses fantastic!
The next day, Kristen got up for the race and we were there waiting at the finish line for her.
She did an awesome job! (But, she wanted it noted that it was not her time in the background . . . she finished much earlier)
The town of Huntsville is so cute and quaint. We have fun memories of going up with Mom and Dad to watch the firework show on the 4th of July. It's quite a show!
Great job, Kristen!
