Melinda introduced me to this great place in Sandy - and there's also one in Orem. It's called the Chocolate, a dessert cafe that's open late. So genius of them! It's in a little house and you can sit in any of the little rooms - including upstairs. The owners say that once it hits 8:30 pm, all of a sudden they are slammed with lots of dates and girls nights out. They have lots of cakes, cupcakes and other desserts, but our choice is "The husband" a delectable yellow cake with chocolate ganache and a touch of whipped cream. And, they even have cold glasses of milk - you can choose skim, 1% or 2%. It's seriously the best!

Baptism Dress Shopping with Sara
Sara was turning 8 in October and getting excited for her upcoming baptism. Kristen and Melinda and I wanted to help with her baptism outfit - so we took all the girls shopping to Dressed in White where they had the best time trying on beautiful white dresses.
After trying on some different ones, they all ended up with the same one . . . the one that Sara ended up choosing.
Don't they look so beautiful all in white!
And, what's an outing without a treat. We headed next door to One Sweet Slice for delicious cupcakes. The girls had fun playing aprons and toys they also had.
Before I took Grace and Maggie back, we stopped at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. I love how excited they are to go in the temple someday. We love these girls and the decisions they are making to be baptized and to choose the right.

Buchanan Reunion
Our annual Buchanan reunion was hosted by Lois's family this year in Bountiful. They had planned for it to be outside, but due to some crazy rain and bad weather, had to move the party inside at the last minute. The kids didn't mind a bit. They had a photo booth area with lots of hats and props for the kids to dress up in that they loved.

We celebrated the birthdays of Mom's sisters, Janie and Marlene - who are also twins. Their families and Lois did really nice tributes for them. Don't they look amazing for being 80!

Taste of Utah Valley
Melinda and I had a busy day when the Taste of Utah Valley rolled to town, but we didn't want to miss it. We had a small window of time to get down there and sample some yummy food and then move on to the rest of our day. It was worth it! It's always fun to try some new food and learn about new restaurants - and it's such a great deal at only $10 for all this great food.
They give you these box lids to hold your food as you go around. It's a great idea - one that the Salt Lake Tastemakers should incorporate. And, it's a good thing we were there early as they quickly ran out of these lovely lids.
See this nice fireman . . . when he saw us taking pictures of ourselves, he offered to take one of us together. Wasn't that nice! Here it is below . . .with our box of delicious food.
Our favorite taste by far were these little burgers from the Old Towne Grill in Provo. Look at this setup they have on the right in this picture - this trailer they are in with a smoker.
And these burgers . . . they have blue cheese and deep fried bacon! We had to take two pictures to really see how fantastic they were.
We also love the restaurants within the Heirloom Restaurant Group - Pizzeria 712, Communal and Mountain West Burrito.
Kristen wanted us to take some pictures of the Provo Tabernacle Temple's progress . . . so here are a few as we cruised by.
It was a fun event and I couldn't leave without a Tigers Blood snowcone . . . so good!
