Sundays at Grandpa's

We love coming together at Dad's/Grandpa's on Sunday evenings.  We appreciate that our brothers and their families make it a priority to come over.  The kids have so much fun together.

The dress-up area is very popular

Davis loves making "cakes" out of this toy.

The tree house is always popular too.  Check Grace out and how high she can climb

Dressing up is not just for the girls.  Davis came up with this fabulous outfit.

Maggie in the treehouse.

Davis found some pretty flowers

Grace playing basketball

So many fun things to do!

Capitol Hills Home Tour

We spent a spring day going on a one-day only tour of historic homes and a church in the Capitol  Hills area.

At our first stop was an old LDS church that had been redone through the years.  Of course, I'm always on the lookout for a good idea and I liked seeing what they had done with the young women's room.

I liked seeing the pictures of the girls interspersed with pictures of the temple and the Savior.

This church had incredible stained glass windows.

Aren't these great . . . in the Primary room.

And, a good idea for a nursery notice.

The church is right across from the Capitol.  And, there was ZERO parking.

Isn't this the cutest house!

We got to wear these fantastic booties around

This same home had a beautiful yard.

As well as a phone cozy between rooms

This picture doesn't do it justice, but, man was that a hard walk down that hill.  Melinda was nice enough to get the car to pick us up on the way back.  I don't know this neighborhood does it in the snow.  So steep!

My contribution to the day . . . some square doughnuts from the Lehi Bakery.  Delish!

Tulip Festival

Melinda and I decided to check out the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. . . along with the rest of the state.  Boy, was it popular.

We really have to work on perfecting the selfies when it's just a few of us.

But, we still tried . . .

These bathtubs of water spilling into each other make up the perfect Italian garden.

Always love the waterfall amphitheater.

I think this is the best one we took.  I wonder how we did it?

Love a secret garden.

After the festival, they sell the tulip bulbs.  I learned that these are what Dad puts in my yard each year.  No wonder people come by my house to take pictures of their kids in the spring with my tulips.  I should be charging admission like the festival!
