The last day of Girls Camp we had the girls up and out before 9:00 . . . quite the feat. I love the girls, but now it was time for some R&R. I got myself home and showered and ready to head to the state line for a fun little jaunt with Melinda and Kristen. Months ago we saw that Rick Springfield was coming in concert and it was a must see for us and we had been looking forward to it. We have seen him in concert before and love all his

classic songs. There is more to him than just Jessie's Girl for sure. We started with a seafood buffet and the all-you-can-eat crab legs that I had been salivating for since our
last trip. Sadly, it was a disappointment and the crab was not great. And even more sad, I got a little sick on my last trip around the buffet and gave some people right by me a little surprise. I was a little embarrassed, but then was feeling better, so off to the concert. Wendover always has some fantastic people watching. And, we were surprised to see this little foursome right in front of us. I think they were a week early for the Johnny Mathis concert. As all the ladies were going wild around them, it was funny to see them dodging some pretty severe dance moves so that they didn't get hurt. We decided that we like Rick Springfield singing . . . not talking. That boy has a little potty mouth for sure. And, he sang a few too many new songs. But, once he got going with the older stuff, we were singing and dancing right along with him. My favorite is always watching all the ladies come with dozens and dozens of roses. He's famous for taking the roses and ripping through them with his guitar. I love it!

After the concert, we stopped for a snack at McDonald's . . . yummy fries and a Rolo McFlurry. I mean, what would a post from us be without some food.

Then we took Kristen on a tour of the town since it was her first time there. It took about one minute to go from one part of the street to the other.

Melinda usually has some luck on the wild and crazy penny slot machines, so while she was trying her hand there, Kristen and I perused the gift shop and found these little gems. . .

And, what a better way to end our little white trash weekend than by staying in what we thought was one of the nicer hotels. It's been a while since we have seen wood paneling, purple furniture and lighted mirrors everywhere.

I got busy downloading some of my favorite songs as well and have been bopping along to them ever since. Good times.
